KYOTO-USA
Cities and their citizens working together to address global warming.
KyotoUSA is an all volunteer, grassroots organization that encourages U.S. cities and their residents to reduce the global warming greenhouse gas emissions for which they are responsible.

ENERGY STAR
Take the Energy Star Pledge. Change a Light and Change the World.
Results are already adding up. Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved enough energy in 2008 alone to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 29 million cars — all while saving $19 billion on their utility bills.

LEAGUE OF CONSERVATION VOTERS
Together, we'll help pass the strongest pro-environment legislation we've ever seen. Right now, we're working with key members of Congress on legislation that will cap global warming pollution and promote renewable energy and energy efficiency – vital steps toward a clean energy future.
Without your continued support this month and in the months ahead, we won't stand a chance against Big Oil and Dirty Coal.
NATIONAL RECYCLING COALITION
Building awareness about America Recycles Day and about the importance of recycling is what it's all about. How much of your garbage goes to the dump? Recycle Now!

FIX A LEAK
How long have you been ignoring that pitter patter coming from the shower?
How about the leaky spigot on the side of the house, or that running toilet? While leaks might sometimes seem like small problems, over time they can waste both valuable water resources and money. On average, a U.S. household can leak 11,000 gallons of water per year.

ECOPLEDGE
Time is running out -- We need to take immediate, corrective actions to safeguard the global environment before even more irreparable harm is done. It has been proven that we cannot count on government regulations alone to solve the environmental problems caused by major corporations.

FAIR SHARE OF PAPER
Using less paper can make the world a fairer place. By using more than six times the world average, most Europeans and North Americans are using far more than our fair share of the Earth's resources.

BUILD GREEN SCHOOLS
Every child deserves a healthy and comfortable place to learn. Green schools reduce illness and improve learning. They help protect the environment and save money. Unfortunately, only a tiny fraction of students across the country enjoy the overwhelming benefits of attending a green school.
Each of us can make a difference. Working together, we can ignite change across the country and ensure that every child in America attends a green school within a generation.

PLASTICS PLEDGE
There is a section of the Pacific Ocean twice the size of the continental United States called the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Within it, 100 million tons of plastic swirl in a vortex of currents. There is so much plastic in the water that it outnumbers zooplankton by six to one! Plastic is forever, with virtually every piece of petroleum based plastic ever made still in existence.

CITIZENS ENERGY
Small actions can add up to monumental changes if enough people care enough to act. If America is going to end its addiction to foreign oil and reduce greenhouse gas emissions before global warming and climate change fundamentally alter life on Earth as we know it, each one of us needs to do what we can to make a difference. Working together, we can bring about a new birth of energy freedom – and in the process help our country and our fellow Americans.

GREEN RIBBON PLEDGE
The Green Ribbon Pledge is a new initiative to "conserve energy for a secure future". By encouraging energy efficiency, the campaign seeks to raise awareness about the need to end our dangerous dependence on fossil fuel consumption and work toward a sustainable future.
